According to Radha soami Satsangs’ philosophy and teachings, Sat Purush Radhasaomi is the ultimate or Supreme Being and no religion or scripture has complete description on him. He belongs to higher level than the scriptures actually describe him. He manifested the world and prior to the creation, his state was of Sunn Samadhi, numb and soundless absorption of oneself. And once he woke up, leaving the state of Sunn Samadhi it produced shabd, a divine sound. It was this shabd from which emerged different regions, gods and living beings.
After waking up from this Samadhi, he proclaimed and manifested the four regions as: Nirmal chaitanya desh, And Desh, Brahmand and Pind Desh. Description of these is given as.
The fourth grand region namely, Nirmal chaitanya desh is a combination of Radhasoamipad, Alakhlok, Satlok and Agamlok. Light, Bliss, Love and peace are the words to describe these spiritual words. Supreme God even manifested what is known as Kal and this Kal created the third and second regions of this universe.
The third grand region namely, and desh is a combination of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. The second region called Brahmand is a combination of Maya, spirit and mind. The final region is Pind Desh, where materialistic physical world encapsulates the soul with a surat or the face.
Soul shares all the qualities of the Supreme Being but is often a subject of ignorance and suffering. It finds its involvement with mind and gray matter for which it is known as Jiva.
Shabd is a divine sound which is resonating in every living being and is passing in one as an undercurrent, but can be heard only through enchanting of the holy name which the Satguru or Supreme being had given while initiating a subject. If a subject continues to live life depriving him of the worldly pleasures, listens to the shabd in the state of salvation can join the undercurrent and reach the state of Radhasoamipad which is the goal of every disciple, to reach the highest abode.
In order to free oneself from bondage, bhakti is the most important key. Both Guru bhakti and Shabd bhakti are important. At the same time he was against idol worship and rituals like fasting etc. He believed ultimate abode can be achieved if and only with the help of Guru.
He preached to look at world as a dream and to never get attached to the worldly pleasures by remaining indifferent and following Satguru’s words.
